Entries for the 2022 Welight Art Student Exhibition are now open.

Held every year, we invite all our young Welight artists between ages 5 - 18 to sumbit artworks in a variety of media including: Painting, Drawing, Collage, Print, Picture Books and art craft.  All works produced after 1st Jan 2022 will be eligible for entry.

Entry forms MUST be submitted online. You need to upload an image, and the original artworks need to be delivered to the Welight Art Space, no later than Friday 02 December 2022, AFTER the online form has been completed. Each student can only submit one artwork so choose wisely. 

​

This year's exhibition will run slightly differently to previous years. Due to the high number of artworks and variety between them, the exhibition will be divided into 3 major categories: Realism, Cultural, Creativity.

​

Due to the limited space, only the best 100 ARTWORKS will be selected as finalists and exhibited in a major Exhibition at Welight Art Space from 22nd Jan to 19th Feb 2023. The winner will be announced at the official opening on 22nd Jan 2023.

The 2022 judge is Xu Fang. He is is a Professor in Art & Design at UNSW. You can read Xu Fang's profile here.

Awards will be presented by Willoughby Mayor - Tanya Taylor who will also be providing a speech. 

​

The Welight Art Student 2022 finalist exhibition will include a People’s Choice Prize supported by Reno Art. The People’s Choice Prize is a $100 Gift Voucher chosen by a public vote.

Entries close 5pm, Friday 02nd December 2022. Late entries will not be accepted.
