Leon Yan

Leon graduated from Shanghai Normal University and has over 30 years of experience in art practice and teaching. He is the president of the NSW Arts Club and has organized numerous solo and group exhibitions.

His students have been finalists and award winners in Art Express, Young Archie, Mosman Art Prize, and Northern Beaches Design and Art Prize.​​​

Edward Essing

Edward is an artist and teacher. He has studied at the Julian Ashton Art School, Academy of Fine Arts Germany and the Jerusalem Studio School.

He is the 2020 recipient of the A.M.E Bale Travelling Scholarship and Art Prize and the 2017 Robert Le Gay Brereton Memorial Prize winner.

Shimone Yan

Shimone is an artist who specialises in painting and digital art. Her work serves as a medium for her introspective musings.  Drawing from her background in design from UNSW, it has equipped her with a diverse skill set.

​

​She won the 2021 Young Australian Artist - Digital Art Award, and her work was a finalist in the Georges River Art Prize and Mosman Art Prize. Her artwork was also featured on the cover of Ozkids magazine in 2022. During her 4 years at Welight Art, her students have consistently reached the finals in major Australian competitions and have won several awards.

Callum Wordsfold

Amy Na

Amy is an artist who combines realism with imagination to create surrealistic worlds and characters. She has completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National Art School, where she majored in oil painting and studied observational and creative drawing. Her works have been exhibited in galleries around Sydney.

Riley Vidgen

Riley is a second year university student studying a double degree in Fine Arts and Education at UNSW. His experience is spread throughout working with children, a year as a junior Willoughby council member and a year working as the Junior representative for the Mosman Art Committee. He has assisted in events such as the Mosman art walk and supervised the after school Art Club hosted at Mosman High School.

Madeline is a friendly and patient art teacher who understands the needs of young children. She knows how to communicate with kids and encourage them to discover their potential. Through her support and guidance, kids can develop their creativity and cultivate a passion for art.​​​​​

Amanda is a Sydney-based artist, illustrator and motion graphics designer. Identified by her playful and colourful art style. She prides herself on her ability to bring the imagination to life by turning ideas into reality.

With an exceptional commitment to capturing the nuances of movement while also showing the diversity and personality of the animation. She applies a unique perspective to her visual storytelling–rooted in connection with others and cultural values.

Vanessa Lai

Vanessa is a digital designer with a unique athletic. She is skilled as both a graphic designer and illustrator, she combines handrawn techniques not digital and helps bringing creativity to every project.
