16 Finalists and Category Winner at 2025 Northern Beaches Environmental Art Prize

We are absolutely delighted to announce that 16 talented young artists from Welight Art School have been selected as finalists for the 2025 Northern Beaches Environmental Art & Design Prize — a remarkable achievement in one of Australia’s most respected environmental art competitions.

Among these outstanding finalists, one of our young students has been awarded the ultimate prize in the 7–12 Years category, winning the category championship and a $500 prize. This marks an extraordinary milestone for our school — the fourth consecutive year that a Welight student has claimed the winner’s title in this age group.

This competition celebrates creativity, environmental awareness, and artistic innovation, and our students have once again demonstrated exceptional imagination, skill, and passion for the world around them. Their works will be showcased alongside inspiring artists across the Northern Beaches community, reflecting their dedication and artistic maturity beyond their years.

We couldn’t be prouder of our young creatives. Their achievements highlight not only their individual talents but also the commitment of our teachers, families, and the entire Welight community in nurturing artistic growth.
