This is a structured course introducing the basics of how to draw what you see, such as still life, landscape, or portraiture. The outcome of the beginner class will give the students understanding of proportion, form, and space.
You will learn the painting skills of colour mixing, tonal relationships, good design, paint application, 'drawing' with paint, and painting the light. Our approach will incorporate subject matter ranging from still life and landscapes.
In this course you will learn the rules of manga proportions and styles. The focus of this class will be the front view of the face. Future classes will develop your skills to draw the same character in profile and three quarter view.
